Hamanasett Bed & Breakfast

Welcome to Hamanassett Bed and Breakfast, where the past and the present converge to create a relaxing and unforgettable experience. The moment you enter the grand hall, you will be transported to a simpler era where style and grace were the norm. But feel free to kick off your shoes and put your feet up; the house is elegant, we are casual!  We offer the business traveler Pennsylvania lodging in a warm and comfortable home-like setting - a wonderful alternative to a traditional Brandywine Valley hotel   If this is what you seek, we will be pleased to see you.

This historic house, built in 1856, with additions by renowned architect Charles Barton Keen in 1896, is situated near woodlands, gardens, and hiking trails. It offers seclusion, tranquility and country elegance. You will find the Brandywine Valley area to be a fascinating area with so much to do and explore and Hamanassett is only minutes from all Brandywine Valley attractions; Longwood Gardens, the Brandywine River Museum, Winterthur, Nemours Mansion, Hagley and Brandywine Valley Wineries.  Valley Forge, the Barnes Museum, downtown Philadelphia, major universities, and the Philadelphia airport are 30 minutes away. If you like bird watching we are only 20 minutes from the Heinz National Wildlife Refuge. Also nearby is Ridley Creek State Park, Tyler Arboretum, and Scott Arboretum.  As you plan your Pennsylvania travel, let us help you make the most of your visit with our concierge service.
